According to reports, Harry Styles is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thanos’ brother, Eros Starfox.
The news broke on Monday 18 October at The Eternals premiere in Los Angeles. The ending credit soon reportedly revealed that the singer, 27, will play the womaniser and younger brother of Thanos.
“Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos.”
Eros’ character is described to be the polar opposite to Thanos, someone who is kind, loving, and also has the power to control people’s emotions. Arguably, he has the potential to be one of the most powerful characters in the whole MCU.
According to Marvel, he “possesses the ability to stimulate the pleasure centres of the brains of people within 25 feet of himself” and he “can bridge the minds of two people, causing one of them to feel the emotions and feelings of the other.”
Eros is the youngest son of A’Lars and Sui-San, two Eternals, getting rechristened from Eron after developing an interest in the opposite sex.
The news comes ahead of The Eternals movie release of 5 November in the US.
Having already made his debut in the 2017 war film Dunkirk, the former One Direction star is also set to star in Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman.
