Princess Sofia and Prince Charles Philip have welcomed their third son, who is now seventh in line to the throne.
The couple left the Danderyd Hospital n Stockholm today, following the announcement from the palace at 11:19 on March 26, which said, “the Office of the Marshal is pleased to announce that HRH Princess Sofia on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11.19 gave birth to a healthy and prosperous son. Both mother and child are well”
The Palace released a press release staying that the baby, who is not yet named, was 3220 grams in weight and 49 cm long. King Carl XVI Gustaf will release the new-born’s name and title tomorrow, March 28.
Sofia, 36, and Carl Philip, 41, announced the pregnancy in December 2020. The pair had two children at the time, four-year-old Prince Alexander and three-year-old Prince Gabriel.
The pair were married in 2014 and have a strong following on social media following on from Princess Sofia’s career as a former glamour model and reality TV star. The news was released via the couples Instagram account and established over 30,000 likes.
Prince Carl Philip said, “we are so happy and grateful to be able to welcome our third son to our family. Princess Sofia and I, and his two big brothers, have all been longing for this day. And now we are looking forward to getting to know this new little member of our family”.
